Tests were performed by CERTAM 2 to assess the impact of TEQOYA air purifiers on cigarette smoke particles, representative of urban pollution. Most of the commonly used air ionizers can emit hazardous chemicals, mainly oxidants. To remove any doubt on its own products and go beyond ozone measurements already published, TEQOYA has subjected its products to the EPR test, which is the most adapted to detect the smallest quantities of any oxidant chemical. Result: TEQOYA air purifiers are perfectly safe: measurements are identical to the ones of healthy air.
Tests were performed by CERTAM to measure the TEQOYA air purifiers emission of ozone. Result: ozone density was similar and measured below 4.5 μg/cm3 with or without ionizer during experiments.
The test protocol consisted of evaluating the efficiency of the ionizer in a recent vehicle equipped with a class F9 filter, which is the best level in the "fine filter" category. The results are quite spectacular on the reduction of pollution with a Teqoya Tip4 ionizer, compared to the effect of a filter recycling for fine particles. These results are interesting for two reasons, because besides the proof of efficiency of the ionizer, they also show that ultrafine particles (typically those emitted by cars) are poorly filtered by systems installed in vehicles, even recent.
