Before founding TEQOYA, Pierre Guitton was looking for a concrete answer to his daughter's asthma. Where can I place an air purifier in my living room or kitchen?

You can place your TEQOYA products, like the TEQOYA E500, anywhere in your room, simply taking into account its range (30m²). In a kitchen, although it is resistant, we recommend avoiding direct contact with a source of humidity, such as a sink, or heat, such as cooking hobs. Otherwise, wherever you like!

Does the TEQOYA E500 purifier make noise?

The TEQOYA E500 is an air purifier that works with electric ventilation. It is designed to be quieter than most purifiers of this type, producing a slight noise of 30 to 50db depending on the modes (powerful, rest...). With its optional Noctua silent cap, the ventilation noise is muffled, making it 20 to 35db.

Does the TEQOYA E500 purifier consume a lot of electricity?

The TEQOYA E500 is energy efficient, from 0.4 to 10 Watts: this mainly depends on the mode you are using. When starting up, to quickly purify the air in your room, boost mode will consume more; but apart from this case, the TEQOYA E500 is designed for continuous use. If you synchronize it with an S1 sensor, it is possible to automatically adjust the power of the TEQOYA E500 according to the particles in the air, in order to minimize its consumption.

Does the TEQOYA E500 purifier require a lot of maintenance?

Hardly any! Unlike the vast majority of air purifiers operating with electric ventilation, which require their filter to be replaced regularly with a new one, the TEQOYA E500's filter is washable: once every 6 months to 1 year depending on the level of air pollution, in just a few minutes (with a cloth for the edges, and with the supplied brush to remove dust inside the device). No need to buy new filters!

Why purify the air?

The air you breathe can contain many invisible pollutants: volatile organic compounds (VOCs), fine particles, allergens, dust, animal hair, or even mold. These substances come from household products, furniture, paint, polluted outdoor air, or simply daily activity. Staying for long hours in unpurified air can have harmful effects on your health, and in the case of olfactory particles, they create persistent bad odors.
